Sunday Sum Up #5

My first ever pair of glasses! // Healthy lyf yo // No 7 Clarisonic
Treats // Best film // OJ and lemonade (hardcore).
Who says 21 is too old for bubbles at the pub.

So this week has been full of ups and downs.
I'm now two weeks into my new job which I'm loving so far! Its been really nice to have a steady income in again! (which i unfortunately took a bit of advantage of today!). However I've just found out I have to have weekly blood tests to determine what my mystery illness is that's producing my chest pains. I already look like i have track marks all up my arm! I'm trying to be healthier to see if it helps!

Hows everyones week been?? Taking advantage of this fabulous weather I hope!

My Top Five Oscars Looks

Apologises for the lateness of this post! Unfortunately I've been pretty ill recently, so I spent all of yesterday watching Pokemon and Super Mario Bros like I did when I was younger.

I literally don't know anyone who doesn't like awards season, either for the films or the dresses. I'm a major cinephile and I love to judge what people are wearing so its a win win situation for me!

Here are my top five looks-

1. Kate Hudson in Versace
TBH this dress would still look gorgeous without those sleeves.

2. Angelina Jolie in Elie Saab
I've seen this dress on some of the worst dressed lists and I just can't get it! I think she looks stunning!

3. Lupita Nyong'o in Prada
I read somewhere that she picked this colour because it reminded her of Narobi. This girl can get away with wearing any colour (lucky thing!)

4. Cate Blanchett in Armani PrivĂ©
Lets be honest Cate would look stunning if she turned up in a sack.

5. Sandra Bullock in Alexander McQueen
Again I've seen this dress in some of the worst dressed lists. I'm not sure if I just have bad taste or if they're blind.

And finally some honourable mentions

Portia de Rossi                               Olivia Wilde                                   Sally Hawkins

My least favourite look

What did you think of the Oscars? Did you have a favourite awards season look?

This week hasn't been the most exciting, but it's my last week of unemployment before I start a full time job! I've pretty much been fitting in all the lie ins and netflix I can handle. (Hint- its never enough).

How has your week been? Enjoying the spring like weather?

Friday Fancies #1

Two posts in two days?! This is unknown territory for me!
I know this post isn't earth shatteringly interesting but I always like seeing what other people have been enjoying so I thought I would join in!

Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser- A bblogger staple and something I have come back to after a amicable separation.  I'm not too sure why I even stopped using this in the first place to be honest.
Origins Ginger Rush- I got gifted this after an ahem... large origins order. I used to hate ginger but I've really be warming up to it recently and this body cream smells divine!
See by Chloe- This is one of those perfumes that I always used to douse my scarf in whenever I was near a Debenhams but was always too expensive to buy. However whilst randomly browsing I found somewhere that did it and the body lotion for £25 when its usually £50ish!! Absolute bargain! Link if anyone's intersted
Miss Manga Mascara- I've seen some pretty naff reviews of this but I'm a bit of a fan! I think it gives great volume, especially to the bottom lashes.

And now for the oddest collection of pictures ever...

Rupauls Drag Race- After finding this on Netflix, I have become obsessed with drag queens, contouring and Alyssa Edwards mouth.
Moomins- I recently bought season one and have been enjoying an episode or two with breakfast. Just like when I was a kid, apart from if your were watching the Moomins you knew you were late for school.
Guardians of the Galaxy- The trailer has FINALLY been released. I'm a total Marvel gal so am v. excited for this.
Pushing Daisies- I was heartbroken when this was cancelled, however this week there have been rumours of a film or even a musical!

So what's been floating your boat this week? Excited for the return of Ned the piemaker?

I'm the Absolute Worst

Actual graduate - Swimmy bevs - Our national anthem is just someone farting - Workplace romance is prohibited
Long weekend in Dorset - Staying in London - Actual work during my CELTA - The worst/ best Christmas tree
Started driving lessons - My hero Dwight Schrute - Cut my hair short - Dreaming

I'M SORRRRRRRY.
I literally cannot believe it's been nearly a year since I've updated. Unfortunately, as with all my other ventures, I was either obsessed with blogging or it was completely forgotten about it. But the fire has been re-lit and it is my February resolution (better than January where everyone is in denial and nothing sticks) to not be so shit.
So a little catch up of what has occurred in my life, which I can sum up in two words- A LOT!

Since I last posted I have...
•Graduated from University with a first in psychology
•Moved back home to Suffolk
•Started working at Jimmys farm
•Stopped working at Jimmys farm
•Become obsessed with the Office and managed to watch all nine seasons in a month ( I've now moved on to RuPauls Drag Race)
•Completed a CELTA in teaching english abroad (more on that in another post)
•And I'm about to start work as a carer this monday!

Overall its been an incredibly busy summer- I didn't really get to have a break after graduating as I went straight into working but I'm really content with everything at the moment!

Fingers crossed the next post won't take another year...
