Homemade Granola Recipe

I've always been a bit funny about breakfast.
I go through stages of loving it, then hating it (I say hating it, i mean hating getting out of bed for it)
But when i do have it i like to go all out
One of my favourite things to have is granola and yoghurt, which is basically just like having a flapjack in the morning
You can buy it as a cereal but it often has a lot of sugar in it
At least this way its your own fault if theres too much of the sweet stuff.

Granola

(i use an american recipe so it uses cups, this is my very professional measurer)

Ingredients
4 cups old fashioned oats
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
And any additional things you want to add (I used coconut and dried mango)
Preheat the oven to around 170

1. Add the oats, cinnamon, salt and any other dry items you want to add into a bowl
2. Put all the other ingredients into a pan and slowly heat until theyre all melted.
(No picture of this. Just imagine a brown liquid)
3. Add this into the bowl with the oats in and mix
3 1/2. Eat all the bits that get stuck to the spoon

4. Put on a tray lined with greaseproof paper and cook for approx 25-30 mins.
Take out and stir at least twice

And this is the end result.
Its best with yoghurt. mmmm

Comment with your results if you make it!!
